Techvantis Launches Tech2Tree: Turning IT Asset Disposal into Reforestation
[Manchester, UK] – 12 July 2026 – Techvantis Group has unveiled Tech2Tree, a new sustainability initiative that plants a tree for every qualifying IT Asset Disposal (ITAD) collection or service order, directly linking the company's day-to-day IT services to the restoration of the National Forest across Derbyshire, Leicestershire, and Staffordshire.
Under the scheme, any ITAD collection or service order valued at £1,000 or more triggers the planting of a native tree — with clients able to choose from species including oak, alder, hazel, hornbeam, lime, and silver birch. Each participating customer receives a certificate marking their contribution, designed to be framed and displayed by their team.
Tech2Tree builds on a broader shift already underway at Techvantis, which has moved to digital-first processes to cut paper usage and adopted what it calls a carbon-neutral-first approach across its operations — spanning cloud services, cyber security, procurement, software and hardware supply, web and app development, and IT asset disposal.

The National Forest restoration project, spanning roughly 200 square miles, has become a focal point for corporate reforestation partnerships in the UK, and Techvantis says the choice of location was deliberate — giving clients a specific, visitable place tied to their contribution rather than an abstract offset.
